Christian Service Lab flashback
As a formal program Christian Service Lab (CSL) was instituted in 1969. This program included College Weekends, Christian Service Week, and Local Church Ministry. Of course, College Weekends, where students travelled out to churches on the weekends, had happened prior to this, but not a formal for credit course (more like singing teams). The idea that churches who partnered with ABC would allow ABC students to take over local church weekend programming as much as possible was Boyd Lammiman’s and Alice Mitchell’s innovation Alice was the one who worked out both the initial details as well as the kinks in the program.
