Craig Reid

July 19, 2013

New Student Development Coordinator

The Director’s Cabinet is pleased to announce that Craig Reid will join Alberta Bible College (ABC) as Student Development Coordinator this August. His primary responsibilities will be recruiting students to the Regular program as well as overseeing the Regular program student community and working with the Student Leadership team.

Craig graduated from ABC with a Bachelor of Theology in 2006. As a student he discovered his gift of leadership and served as Student Body President one year. Craig’s personal mission is “to make a difference in the lives of those around me for the glory of God by helping them discover who God has created them to be and how they can live that out more completely.”

Since graduating from ABC Craig has worked with youth and young adults in a variety of settings: Youth for Christ, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship’s high school ministry, LifeForce Teams International drama ministry, several Bible Camps, Western Christian High School, and Youth and Young Adult ministry in a Church of Christ. He is currently working towards the completion of a Masters of Arts in Leadership and Management from Briercrest Seminary.

From 2007 until 2009 Craig and his wife Leah taught English in South Korea. He has also taught as a sessional instructor in the University of Regina English as a Second Language Department. Because of those experiences he chose to obtain TESOL certification from the Northmount Institute of TESOL in 2011.

Craig and Leah love other cultures and have travelled to England, Estonia, Brazil, Ecuador, and the Philippines. They are now a family of four and so traveling has slowed significantly. Their 3 ½ year old daughter Lena and 3 month old son Talan are a steady source of joy and delight. In Craig’s free time he enjoys running and listening to others’ stories over of a good cup of coffee. He gets excited by the potential he sees in others to accomplish amazing things and believes that through prayer and faithful action possibilities are endless!
