PURPOSE

This program is designed to prepare individuals for pastoral and educational leadership in Christian communities, as well as providing the basis for continuing higher education.

PROGRAM GOALS

Students in the B.C.S., Christian Ministries will:

  1. Demonstrate competency in understanding, interpreting, applying, and communicating the biblical message
  2. Experience located Christian ministry
  3. Analyse various cultural contexts for Christian ministry with particular emphasis on Canadian culture
  4. Articulate the principles of the Stone-Campbell movement within the larger context of Canadian history
  5. Articulate and demonstrate a biblical philosophy of Christian ministry with application to a specific ministry within a local congregation
  6. Practice discipline in developing a spiritual life that fosters personal and professional well-being
  7. Develop the skills and attitudes of a life-long learner

This program qualifies for Canada and Alberta Student Loans.
