Learning Outcomes

In education, we often speak of learning outcomes. Every course we teach, every program we offer, and even the whole of what we do at Alberta Bible College can be framed in terms of learning outcomes. By these outcomes we are seeking to answer, “What kind of person is being formed through these experiences of learning?” Paul had a particular learning outcome in mind for the study of Scripture. In 2 Timothy 3:14–4:2, he gives Timothy the following instructions which also inform our work at ABC.

The Eagles Have Landed

This past August I, my wife Chantelle, and our two daughters embarked on a 1700 km journey in response to God’s call. Our final destination was Yellowknife and in particular, the Yellowknife Church of Christ. After an eighteen-month season without a senior pastor, God brought this faithful community’s search to an end.

Church Growth Course

75 Years in the Pulpit

On September 12, the Taber Church of Christ honoured their minister Jim Chapman for preaching for seventy-five years. Jim’s first sermon was four minutes long in Jeans Schoolhouse, Oregon. At that time, he was seventeen years old and in his first month at Northwest Christian College, Eugene, Oregon.

PACE Courses Calgary

The above three credit courses are being offered on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Alberta Bible College campus. Each course runs for six weeks but registration must happen prior to the start of the class, as there is preparation for the first class.
