We are pleased to announce that the Commission on Accreditation (COA) of the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) has recognized Alberta Bible College as an accredited institution. We cannot express how grateful we are for those who worked on the process, for those who prayed for us during this process, and for those who supported the college during this time of transition. We are of course most grateful to God who called us into this ministry of spiritual transformation.
Evangel — Spring 2016
Message from the President
Dear Alumni and Friends of ABC, There’s an old saying that one should strike while the iron is hot. Of course, the metaphor belongs to the nearly lost art of ironworks or blacksmithing. The saying reflects that iron is malleable when it’s hot. To apply this image… there are times in the life of a church, a college, or other organization when the iron is hot. Alberta Bible College has come to such a time.
Congratulations to Daniele Esplin, Kyle Engleson, Dau Dau, Darlene Penner, Sirake Bokre, Nancy Johnson, Angela Sayed.
Emerge was a fantastic event this year with ninety-five people attending with over 125 people present at various points throughout the weekend. Fifty-two attended their first Emerge weekend, and the reviews both written and spoken have been very positive.
To go back to school later in life takes courage and a sense of adventure! But ABC’s Professional Adult Christian Education (PACE) program demonstrates that many are up to the challenge. Forty-seven are involved in the current round of classes, a new record!
About a year ago, the winter was lagging, surprising us with yet another spring blanket of snow and I felt a sense I needed to prepare for the upcoming season. Though spring was approaching the essence of this feeling was in the realm of spiritual growth. As I investigated and prayed, I felt an overwhelming sense to discover myself and prepare for what was on the horizon. I began to do only what seemed right, research. Through personality profiling, career research, and career profiling, I began gathering resources and information that would help me to discern what this new season might hold.
PACE Courses Offered in May 2016
May 9–11, 2016 – Conversations that matter around the theological shifts required to enjoy God’s resources for leading God’s communities that seek to do God’s work in God’s ways for God’s reasons.

It is with a heart full of joy and praise to God that I write to you at the close of my first year of Bible College… As I look back over the past eight months, I see a year filled to the brim with spiritual uplifts, a vast increase of Scriptural knowledge, fine Christian fellowship, a greater experience in domestic duties and many new friends. Oh, there have been sad and very perplexing moments when a few troubles or worries have had to be coped with and discarded but they have not stood in the way of my reason for attending such a school as A.B.C.—that of preparing to serve Christ with my all.
