Evangel — Spring 2017
Message from the President
Eighty-five Years and Going Strong
I’m proud to be associated with Alberta Bible College. I want everyone to have the same experience of seeing God work through ABC’s staff and faculty in the lives of students, and ultimately in the church and in the world. Eighty-five years ago, the founders of ABC committed themselves to creating an environment where people could be prepared, not only for life, but particularly for service and witness for Christ in various forms of Christian ministry, full time, bi-vocationally, or voluntarily.
Why Alberta Bible College?
WHY? That is the big question, isn’t it? Like you, I have many good causes seeking my support. Therefore, as I sort through the various opportunities I can support, I have one overriding question. Why? Why should I support this particular enterprise?

Emerge 2017
This year at Emerge 2017 Dr. Allan Dunbar (ABC graduate, BTh 1961) encouraged youth to partner with God in his GREAT RESCUE MISSION! His messages were challenging and provoking but delivered with humour and levity. Our ABC Worship Team led music for the weekend and did a wonderful job connecting with participants.

Spring Ministry
A Report From Field Experience
Field experience is an important component of many professional education programs. As such, Practical Ministries Lab (or Christian Service Lab) has been a key component of an ABC student’s education for decades. During Spring Ministry Experience, student teams develop ministry skills, apply classroom learning, gain a broader understanding of the church, while experiencing the joys and challenges of working with others. Feedback and debriefing increases the learning for all involved.
