I teach in a theological institution because I myself have learned from men and women who have taught in these places with much wisdom, sensibility, sensitivity, and integrity. Their faithfulness inspires me to be faithful in the world of theological education. My primary academic interests lie within the field of biblical studies. I am convinced that when we hold scripture in our hands we are at the same time dealing with the inspired word of God and a human work of art. It is God’s story of salvation in which we find meaning and purpose for our own personal narratives. My desire is that whether our students spend one semester or four years at ABC that they learn to engage all of life theologically (cf. Col 3:17), that they become increasingly conformed to the image of Christ (cf. Rom 8:28, 29), and that they live out their vocation as image bearers of God (cf. Genesis 1:26, 27). My studies have included undergraduate degrees in journalism (Mount Royal College) and Christian education (Alberta Bible College), as well as a master’s degree from Wycliffe College (University of Toronto). I am grateful to be married to my beautiful wife Brenda, and we have equally beautiful daughter, Holly.
